Christal Prout and Peter Prout are an Original Folk/Rock/Americana married musical duo based in Stephens City, VA. In less than three years that Chatham Street has been in existence, they have won 17 songwriting placements, been live on NPR radio, performed in multiple states, shared the stage with John McCutcheon, Catie Curtis, and many more. They were just nominated for two WAMMIE awards, which are the Washington DC version of the Grammy's, for Folk Contemporary Group of the Year, and for Folk Contemporary Recording of the Year, for their second release, "All That Mattered". On September 15, 2012, they played at one of the most famous and respected venues in the country, the "Birchmere", opening for Don McLean, who had famed hits such as "Bye Bye Miss American Pie" and "Vincent" (also known as 'Starry Starry Night').
