This seminar introduces you to the many issues you will face in
preparing to establish and operate your own business. You’ll learn
about the opportunities available to you as well as the pitfalls to
avoid. Specific topics covered in the seminar include:
• How to begin writing your business plan
• Creating your professional advisor team
• Legal, accounting and insurance issues
• Resources available to small businesses in Frederick County
• The business plan—your most valuable tool
The seminar is offered in partnership with the Small Business
Development Center (SBDC) and Frederick Community College.
This course is designed to provide the entrepreneur with the
opportunity to explore their options and plan their business. The
Maryland SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement
with the U.S. Small Business Administration, State of Maryland
