In today's world it can be quite challenging to know what you're really getting when you buy your food -- even from a health food or organic grocery store. GMO's, organic, natural, processed vs whole foods, additives, preservatives, CSA's, probiotics, pesticide residues, non-labeled toxic ingredients, ... It's enough to make your head spin. What do these terms really mean? And more importantly, what do they mean to your health and well-being? In this class we will take a look at the basics of eating clean, healthy food -- what that really means, how to get it, and how to truly be a savvy consumer when it comes to your food. We'll cover processed vs whole foods, what does organic and all natural really mean, how to eat to build health, and how to start identifying and eliminating sources of toxins in your food, in your water and in your personal care products.
